If your yard sits near a creek or low-lying area, you already know the headache. After heavy rain, water pushes in where it doesn't belong - and over time, a soggy backyard stops being usable space. That's exactly the situation we were dealing with here.
The fix started with regrading. We brought in fill material and raised the yard to redirect water flow away from the house and back toward where it belongs. That part of the job is all about getting the grade right - even small changes in elevation make a big difference when creek water is creeping in. Our crew used a plate compactor to pack everything down properly, making sure the new grade holds.
Once the grading work was done, we topped everything off with a fresh mulch installation. We used the Bobcat MT100 to move material efficiently and get it spread where it needed to go. It's a compact machine that works well in tighter spaces without tearing up the yard. The combination of regraded soil and fresh mulch leaves the yard looking clean and, more importantly, functioning the way it should.
What makes this kind of job straightforward for the homeowner is that we handle it all - material delivery, grading, compaction, and mulch installation. One crew, one job. No coordinating between multiple contractors or waiting on material drops from someone else. We show up with everything needed and get it done.
Drainage problems don't fix themselves. If your yard floods regularly or you've got water running somewhere it shouldn't, regrading is usually the most direct solution. It's not a complicated process, but it does need to be done right.
