Front beds have a way of slowly falling apart without you even noticing. The edging shifts, the rock gets patchy, the old shrubs spread out and take over - and one day you're standing in the driveway realizing the whole front of your home just looks tired. That's exactly what we were dealing with on this one.

We stripped everything out. Old shrubs, worn rock, buried edging - all of it gone. Once the bed was cleared, we re-leveled the ground, laid fresh landscape fabric underneath, and brought in clean new rock. Getting that base work right is what separates a bed that looks good for years from one that needs attention every season.

New edging went in along the full perimeter, giving the bed a clean, defined border against the lawn. Then came the fun part - placing the new plantings. A good mix of textures and plant types spread throughout the bed so it has visual interest now and will fill in nicely over time. Nothing overcrowded, nothing crammed in. Just room to grow.

This is the kind of landscape work that quietly does a lot for a home's curb appeal. You don't need a total yard overhaul to make a real difference. Sometimes a well-executed front bed reset is all it takes to make the whole property feel put together again.
