Sometimes a yard just needs a full reset. Not a patch job, not a quick fix - a real, start-from-scratch approach that actually solves the problem. That's exactly what this job called for.
The existing turf was worn out and the grade was off, sitting too high relative to the sidewalks. Before we could even think about laying new sod, we had to bring the level down and get everything lined up clean with the surrounding hardscape. That kind of detail matters more than people realize. When the grade is wrong, water doesn't move the way it should - and no amount of fresh grass fixes that.
Once the regrading was done and the old turf was pulled, we got to work on the sod installation. Fresh rolls laid tight, edges fitted clean against the walks, and a specific area left open where the homeowner is planning to put in a new tree. We weren't just filling in grass - we were setting the yard up for what comes next.
Getting the grade right before laying sod is the part most people don't see, but it's what separates a lawn that lasts from one that causes headaches two years down the road. This is the kind of lawn renovation work we take seriously, whether it's a small front yard or a larger property that needs a full overhaul.
A good lawn starts with good groundwork. When the soil is properly graded, the sod has the best possible foundation to root in and grow strong. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every install we do.
